Description

Crispy and flavorful breakfast potatoes cooked to perfection in an air fryer with simple seasonings.


Ingredients

1 pound russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Place the cubed potatoes in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Let them soak for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
  4. In a bowl, toss the dried potatoes with olive oil, salt, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket, spreading them out in a single layer for best results.
  6. Cook in the preheated air fryer for 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crisping.
  7. Once the potatoes are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure the potatoes are thoroughly dried before seasoning.

You can substitute russet potatoes with red or Yukon Gold potatoes for a slight variation in flavor and texture.
