Description

Baked Feta with Olives & Sun-Dried Tomatoes is a Mediterranean-inspired dish featuring creamy feta, briny olives, and sweet sun-dried tomatoes, baked to perfection and served with crusty bread.

Ingredients

8 ounces feta cheese (block)

1 cup assorted olives (pitted, halved)

½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil, chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet with a drizzle of olive oil.
  3. Place the block of feta cheese in the center of the dish.
  4. Scatter the halved olives and chopped sun-dried tomatoes around the feta.
  5. Sprinkle the minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper over the mixture.
  6. Pour the olive oil generously over the feta and the surrounding ingredients.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the feta is soft and slightly golden.
  8. Once out of the oven, let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, or oregano.

For a spicy kick, increase the red pepper flakes or add chili oil.

If you want a different flavor profile, try using goat cheese or ricotta instead of feta.

Add roasted bell peppers, artichoke hearts, or zucchini for extra heartiness.

For a vegan version, use plant-based feta or another dairy-free cheese.
