Description
Berry Lemonade is a refreshing, fruity drink that combines the natural sweetness of fresh berries with the zesty tang of lemon. It’s perfect for summer gatherings and a refreshing treat on hot days.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh raspberries
1 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 6–8 lemons)
1 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
6 cups cold water
Ice cubes for serving
Lemon slices and mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash all the berries thoroughly. Hull and slice the strawberries into smaller pieces.
- Roll the lemons lightly on the counter, then cut them in half and squeeze out the juice, straining to remove seeds if necessary.
- In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, sugar, and cold water. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Gently add the prepared strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Stir to combine.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled lemonade over. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
Notes
For extra fruity flavor, try adding blackberries, peaches, or a splash of orange juice.
If you prefer a fizzy version, swap out still water with sparkling water or club soda.
For a sweetener swap, you can use honey, agave, or maple syrup instead of granulated sugar.
