Description

A simple and decadent Chocolate Tiramisu dessert that layers creamy mascarpone, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and rich chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
  4. Mix the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using) in a shallow dish.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and arrange a layer in a serving dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers.
  7. Drizzle half of the melted dark chocolate over the mascarpone layer.
  8. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and melted chocolate.
  9. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the coffee is cooled before soaking the ladyfingers to prevent them from getting too soggy.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur.
