Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined—do not overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let brownies cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to avoid dense brownies.
- Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with moist crumbs, not wet batter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3–4 days.
