Ingredients
1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 ounces cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for cooking)
Instructions
- Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces and slice the mushrooms.
- Season the steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper, tossing to coat evenly.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil if needed.
- Sear the steak bites until browned and cooked to your liking, then remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms until golden and softened.
- Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic, stirring until melted and fragrant.
- Return the steak to the skillet, toss to coat in the butter sauce, cook briefly to heat through, garnish with parsley, and serve.
