Description

Cheese Dreams are the ultimate comfort food—a golden, crispy grilled cheese sandwich filled with gooey, melty cheese. Perfect for a quick snack or a cozy meal, they can be customized with your favorite cheeses and flavorings, making them a satisfying treat every time.


Ingredients

4 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)

4 slices of cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)

2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

Optional: garlic powder or herbs for extra flavor


Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice evenly.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, onto the skillet.
  4. Add 2 slices of cheese on top of the bread in the skillet.
  5. Top with another slice of bread, butter side up.
  6. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt, about 3–4 minutes.
  7. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until golden brown and cheese is fully melted, another 3–4 minutes.
  8. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add garlic powder, onion powder, or fresh herbs like thyme or basil to the buttered bread before grilling.

Mix cheeses like mozzarella, gouda, or provolone for a gooier sandwich.

Try different breads like sourdough, multigrain, or brioche for added richness.
