Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 oz or 10 oz)
1/4 cup mustard (optional)
1/4 cup ketchup (optional)
1/4 cup diced pickles (optional)
1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
1/4 cup chopped lettuce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, cooking for an additional 2 minutes to enhance the flavor.
- Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt slightly.
- Open the refrigerated biscuit dough. Separate each biscuit and press into the bottom and up the sides of a greased muffin tin to form cups.
- Spoon the cheesy ground beef mixture into each biscuit cup, filling about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the biscuit tops are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Top with mustard, ketchup, diced pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce, if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For a vegetarian version, use plant-based ground meat.
Switch up the cheese to mozzarella, Swiss, or American for different flavors.
For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.
