100 g butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, crushed
30 g parmesan, grated
Handful of parsley, chopped
1 large crusty loaf
100 g mozzarella, grated
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan bake).
- Mix the softened butter, crushed garlic, grated parmesan, and chopped parsley in a bowl until fully combined.
- Slice the loaf into 1.5 cm thick slices without cutting all the way through.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture over both sides of each slice.
- Stuff grated mozzarella between each slice.
- Wrap the entire loaf tightly in foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until the butter melts and the mozzarella becomes gooey.
- Keep the loaf wrapped in foil until serving. Enjoy hot.
Notes
Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
Swap mozzarella for cheddar or add extra parmesan for deeper flavor.
Mix in basil or chives for an herby twist.
Use roasted garlic for a richer taste.
Bake unwrapped for a few minutes at the end for a crisp top.
