Description

A warm, buttery, cheesy garlic bread made with herb-garlic butter, mozzarella, and parmesan stuffed between thick slices of a crusty loaf, baked until melty and aromatic.

Ingredients

100 g butter, softened

3 cloves garlic, crushed

30 g parmesan, grated

Handful of parsley, chopped

1 large crusty loaf

100 g mozzarella, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan bake).
  2. Mix the softened butter, crushed garlic, grated parmesan, and chopped parsley in a bowl until fully combined.
  3. Slice the loaf into 1.5 cm thick slices without cutting all the way through.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture over both sides of each slice.
  5. Stuff grated mozzarella between each slice.
  6. Wrap the entire loaf tightly in foil.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, until the butter melts and the mozzarella becomes gooey.
  8. Keep the loaf wrapped in foil until serving. Enjoy hot.

Notes

Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.

Swap mozzarella for cheddar or add extra parmesan for deeper flavor.

Mix in basil or chives for an herby twist.

Use roasted garlic for a richer taste.

Bake unwrapped for a few minutes at the end for a crisp top.
