Description
Cheesy Garlic Crescent Rolls are the perfect combination of buttery, garlicky goodness and gooey, melty cheese. With minimal ingredients, these crescent rolls are quick to make and packed with flavor, making them the ideal appetizer, side dish, or snack for any occasion.
Ingredients
For the Crescent Rolls:
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheddar for variation)
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until well combined.
-
Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
-
Add the Cheese: Place about 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella (or preferred cheese) near the wide end of each crescent triangle. Gently roll the dough from the wide end to the pointed tip, tucking the point underneath.
-
Brush with Garlic Butter: Arrange the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Use a pastry brush to generously brush each crescent with the garlic butter mixture.
-
Add Parmesan: If desired, sprinkle the tops of the rolls with grated Parmesan for an extra cheesy flavor.
-
Bake: Bake the crescent rolls for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
-
Finishing Touches: Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with any remaining garlic butter. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Cheese Variety: Use other cheeses like gouda, provolone, or even a mix of mozzarella and cheddar for a different flavor.
Herbs: Add a pinch of Italian seasoning or fresh thyme to the garlic butter for a herb-infused twist.
Stuffed Rolls: Add a slice of pepperoni or cooked sausage inside the roll for a meaty version.
