Ingredients
1 can refrigerated pizza dough
½ pound ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon butter, melted
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Salsa and sour cream for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning and cook for a few more minutes. Set aside.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
- Spread taco meat over one half of the dough, and sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top.
- Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges to seal. Cut into 1-inch strips and twist each into a spiral.
- Place the twisted strips on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
Notes
Add diced onions, bell peppers, or corn to the taco meat for extra flavor.
For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños or chili flakes to the filling.
Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version of the recipe.
