Description

This Comforting Chicken & Noodles Crock Pot recipe is the ultimate hearty meal made with tender shredded chicken, creamy broth, and soft egg noodles. Perfect for busy days, this one-pot meal is easy to prepare and delivers comfort food at its finest, with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

2 cans cream of chicken soup

2 cans chicken broth (15 oz each)

1 stick unsalted butter or margarine

1 lb chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)

1 package frozen egg noodles (24 oz, such as Reames)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crock Pot: Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the Crock Pot.

  • Add Liquids and Butter: Pour the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup over the chicken. Top with the stick of butter.

  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours. The chicken will cook through and become tender.

  • Shred the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the Crock Pot and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken back to the Crock Pot.

  • Add the Noodles: Stir in the frozen egg noodles and cover. Cook for an additional 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes, until noodles are tender and fully cooked.

  • Serve: Once the noodles are tender, serve the soup hot.

Notes

Add Veggies: For extra nutrition, add frozen peas, carrots, or corn during the last hour of cooking.

Rotisserie Chicken: Swap the raw chicken for shredded rotisserie chicken to reduce prep time.

Different Noodles: Feel free to substitute egg noodles with pasta like rotini or penne.

Low-Sodium Version: Use low-sodium chicken broth and reduced-fat cream of chicken soup for a lighter version.

Spice It Up: Add a pinch of black pepper, paprika, or a dash of hot sauce to enhance the flavor.
