Ingredients

¼ pound butter, melted

1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained

1 (15 ounce) can creamed corn

1 (8.5 ounce) package cornbread mix

2 tablespoons sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, whole kernel corn, creamed corn, cornbread mix, and sour cream.
  3. Fold the ingredients together gently until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Add shredded cheddar cheese for a cheesy version.

For heat, stir in chopped jalapeños or chili flakes.

Add cooked sausage or ground beef for a meatier option.

Use a gluten-free cornbread mix to make this dish gluten-free.

For a vegetarian version, check the cornbread mix and other ingredients for animal products.
