Description

A rich and decadent Chocolate Mousse Cake with a cookie crumb crust, perfect for any chocolate lover.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of the pan to form crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  5. Stir in sour cream until fully incorporated.
  6. Fold in semisweet chocolate chips.
  7. Pour mixture over crust and smooth top.
  8. Bake 55-60 minutes until center is almost set.
  9. Turn off oven and leave cake inside for 30 minutes.
  10. Remove cake and run a knife around edges to loosen. Cool completely, then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Slice and serve chilled.
