Description
Delicious and easy-to-make cherry pie bites featuring crescent roll dough filled with cherry pie filling and topped with a sweet glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
- 2 tubes crescent roll dough (8 ounces each)
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a standard muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and place each triangle into a muffin cup, with the wide end at the bottom to form a base.
- Spoon 3 to 4 tablespoons of cherry pie filling into each dough cup. Don’t worry if some spills over — it adds to the flavor and look.
- Fold the tips of the dough over the filling to partially enclose the cherries.
- Bake for 13–14 minutes or until golden brown and baked through.
- While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze. Adjust consistency by adding more milk if needed.
- Remove cherry bites from oven and allow to cool slightly.
- Drizzle glaze over the tops while still warm and serve.
Notes
- You can substitute cherry pie filling with other fruit fillings such as apple or blueberry as desired.
- Make sure the crescent roll dough is tightly sealed to prevent overfill spillage.
