Description

Delicious and easy-to-make cherry pie bites featuring crescent roll dough filled with cherry pie filling and topped with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough (8 ounces each)
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a standard muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough and place each triangle into a muffin cup, with the wide end at the bottom to form a base.
  3. Spoon 3 to 4 tablespoons of cherry pie filling into each dough cup. Don’t worry if some spills over — it adds to the flavor and look.
  4. Fold the tips of the dough over the filling to partially enclose the cherries.
  5. Bake for 13–14 minutes or until golden brown and baked through.
  6. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze. Adjust consistency by adding more milk if needed.
  7. Remove cherry bites from oven and allow to cool slightly.
  8. Drizzle glaze over the tops while still warm and serve.

Notes

  • You can substitute cherry pie filling with other fruit fillings such as apple or blueberry as desired.
  • Make sure the crescent roll dough is tightly sealed to prevent overfill spillage.
