Description

This Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bread combines the fluffy texture of a quick bread with the sweet crunch of a donut topping. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon snack, it fills the kitchen with warm, cozy aromas and tastes irresistible in every slice.


Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)

2 large eggs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Slowly fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  6. Mix brown sugar with a little cinnamon and sprinkle over the batter.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for crunch.

Swirl cinnamon sugar through the middle for extra flavor.

Drizzle with a powdered sugar glaze for a sweeter finish.

Freeze slices individually for up to 2 months.
