Description

These adorable Easter Bunny Dinner Breadsticks are a playful and delicious way to celebrate Easter. With a soft, buttery texture and cute bunny shapes, these rolls are perfect for brunch, dinner, or as a fun treat for the kids. Made with simple ingredients, they’re an easy and festive addition to your holiday table!

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Instant dry yeast
  • Lukewarm water
  • Vegetable oil
  • Egg (for egg wash)
  • Butter (for brushing after baking)
  • Coarse sea salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  2. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.

2. Shape the Bunnies:

  1. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into equal portions.
  2. Shape each portion into a bunny shape, ensuring the ears overlap slightly. Press down on the overlapping ears to prevent them from rising too much during baking.
  3. Form a small ball of dough for the tail and attach it to the body of each bunny.

3. Bake the Breadsticks:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brush each bunny with an egg wash (beaten egg) and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  3. Place the bunnies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

4. Serve:

  1. Let the breadsticks cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a brush of butter on top.

Notes

  • Sweet Option: Replace the salt on the tails with a sprinkling of sugar for a sweet twist.
  • Add Herbs: Mix in fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme into the dough for a savory flavor.
