Description

These Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies are a festive twist on the classic favorite, featuring a soft, chewy texture and a beautiful pastel marbled effect. Packed with gooey chocolate chips, these cookies are perfect for Easter celebrations, springtime gatherings, or a fun baking project with kids!

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Gel food coloring (pastel pink, purple, yellow, and blue)
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream Butter & Sugars: In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  • Combine Wet & Dry Mixtures: Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Color the Dough: Divide the dough into four equal portions. Tint each with a different pastel gel food coloring, mixing gently.
  • Create Marbled Cookies: Take small portions of each colored dough and press them together to form a marbled ball. Place on the baking sheet and gently flatten.
  • Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack

Notes

  • Customization: Swap chocolate chips for white chocolate or pastel candy-coated chocolates.
  • Sprinkle Fun: Add Easter-themed sprinkles before baking for extra festive charm.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Use a one-to-one gluten-free flour substitute.
