Description

Celebrate the season with this Easy Easter Dip—a sweet, creamy, and colorful treat that’s perfect for spring gatherings. Combining cream cheese, sour cream, and a medley of fruits, it’s a festive dip that everyone will love!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (drained)
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries (drained and mashed)
  • 1/2 cup mandarin oranges (drained)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup bright pink candy melts
  • Spring-themed sprinkles
  • Assorted cookies, graham crackers, or fruits for dipping

Instructions

  1. Drain the Fruit:

    • Thoroughly drain the pineapple, maraschino cherries, and mandarin oranges to avoid excess moisture.
  2. Mash the Pineapple and Cherries:

    • In a bowl, mash the pineapple and cherries into small pieces using the back of a fork. Drain any remaining liquid.
  3. Prepare the Cream Mixture:

    • In another bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and powdered sugar.
  4. Blend Until Smooth:

    • Use a hand mixer on medium speed to blend the mixture until smooth and creamy.
  5. Incorporate the Mashed Fruit:

    • Add the mashed pineapple and cherries to the cream mixture and blend until well combined.
  6. Add Mandarin Oranges:

    • Gently fold in the mandarin oranges until evenly distributed.
  7. Melt the Candy Melts:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 10-20 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  8. Combine with Cream Mixture:

    • Add the melted candy melts to the cream mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  9. Chill:

    • Refrigerate the dip for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  10. Serve:

  • Transfer to a serving bowl, top with spring-themed sprinkles, and serve with assorted dippers.

Notes

  • Swap the bright pink candy melts for different colors to suit other holidays or themes.
  • Add extra fruits like diced strawberries or blueberries for added flavor and color.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar to your taste.
