Description

Firecracker Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets glazed with a sweet, spicy, and tangy honey-sriracha sauce. Roasted to perfection, the glaze caramelizes beautifully, creating a glossy, bold coating that’s both irresistible and easy to make in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, rice vinegar, sriracha, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and brush generously with the honey-sriracha glaze.
  4. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is glossy and slightly caramelized.
  5. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Serve hot with rice, vegetables, or salad.

Notes

Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of sriracha or adding chili flakes.

Add lime juice or orange zest to the glaze for a bright citrus twist.

Substitute honey with maple syrup or brown sugar for a different sweetness profile.

Make it gluten-free by using tamari instead of soy sauce.

Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days and reheated gently in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
