This easy French Bread Pizza recipe transforms a simple baguette into a crispy, cheesy, and customizable pizza that’s ready in just 15 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights, family dinners, or casual get-togethers.
Ingredients
1 Baguette
250 g (1 cup) Passata
1 tsp Garlic granules
1 tsp Dried oregano
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
250 g (9 oz) Grated mozzarella
Optional toppings: Pepperoni, Chicken, Mushrooms, Sweetcorn, Peppers, Onions, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200℃ fan/220℃/Gas Mark 7/400℉.
- Slice the baguette in half lengthways, then cut into desired portions.
- In a bowl, mix together the passata, garlic granules, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
- Spread the sauce evenly over the cut sides of the baguette pieces.
- Sprinkle the grated mozzarella evenly on top.
- Add your preferred toppings, such as pepperoni, chicken, or vegetables.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and golden.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Toast the baguette halves for a few minutes before adding sauce for an extra crispy crust.
Use ciabatta, sourdough, or gluten-free bread as alternatives.
For a flavor twist, try BBQ sauce, pesto, or white garlic sauce instead of tomato.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for 5–7 minutes.
To make it vegetarian or vegan, use appropriate cheese and plant-based toppings.
