Description

Rich and decadent French Silk Brownies topped with a creamy French silk layer and Cool Whip, perfect for a special dessert treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (not prepared)
  • 1 egg
  • 5 ½ tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 11×7-inch glass baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, combine brownie mix, egg, melted butter, and milk. Stir until smooth. Spread batter in the dish and bake for 25-28 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  3. Beat cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix until combined.
  4. Melt semi-sweet chocolate and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  5. Add melted chocolate mixture to cream cheese mixture; stir to combine. Fold in 8 ounces Cool Whip gently.
  6. Spread French silk layer over cooled brownies. Spread remaining Cool Whip on top.
  7. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips if desired. Slice and serve.
