Description
These Goats Cheese and Turkey Puffs with Quince Paste are elegant, bite-sized canapés that pair creamy goat cheese, sweet quince paste, and savory turkey on flaky puff pastry. They’re simple to make yet look and taste sophisticated — perfect for parties, festive gatherings, or a refined snack.
Ingredients
1 sheet frozen ready-rolled puff pastry, just thawed
Goats cheese, softened
Quince paste
Turkey breast, shaved
1 fresh continental parsley sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Cut thawed puff pastry sheet into 5 cm squares and arrange on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake for about 5 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown. Remove from oven and cool completely.
- Top each cooled pastry square with a small spoonful of softened goats cheese, followed by a thin slice of quince paste.
- Place a small fold of shaved turkey on top and garnish with a fresh parsley sprig.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the crisp pastry with creamy, sweet, and savory toppings.
Notes
Use brie, ricotta, or cream cheese instead of goats cheese for variation.
Replace quince paste with fig jam, cranberry sauce, or apricot jam.
Make it vegetarian by skipping the turkey and using roasted capsicum or caramelized onions instead.
For extra flair, drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze before serving.
Serve fresh to keep the pastry crisp.
