Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Green onions, thinly sliced for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Slice the chicken breasts lengthwise into four thinner pieces. Season with salt and pepper, then coat evenly with flour.
  • Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large frying pan over medium to medium-high heat. Cook the floured chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce: In the same pan, melt the remaining butter over medium-low heat. Add sliced garlic and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and stir in honey. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine: Return the chicken to the pan and simmer in the sauce for 1 minute until heated through.
  • Serve: Serve the chicken garnished with sliced green onions and enjoy.
