Description

Honey Lavender Frozen Yogurt is a refreshing, no-bake dessert that combines the richness of Greek yogurt with the delicate floral flavor of lavender and the sweetness of honey. A perfect treat for summer or elegant after-dinner indulgence.

Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1 cup heavy cream

¾ cup honey

2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Optional: Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix the honey, heavy cream, and dried lavender.
  2. Heat the mixture over low heat until it’s warm but not boiling, stirring occasionally to dissolve the honey.
  3. Once warm, remove the pan from the heat and let the lavender steep for about 2 hours.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl to remove the lavender buds.
  5. Stir in the plain Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth and well combined.
  6. Place the yogurt mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to chill.
  7. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for 20-30 minutes until it reaches a soft serve consistency.
  8. Transfer to a lidded container or bowl and freeze for an additional 2-3 hours for a firmer consistency.
  9. Scoop out and serve chilled, garnished with fresh lavender sprigs if desired.

Notes

For a vegan version, use a dairy-free yogurt and coconut cream.

Enhance flavor by adding lemon zest or vanilla bean.

Substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar if preferred.
