Description

Tender, juicy Instant Pot corned beef made quickly and effortlessly using pressure cooking for a flavorful, comforting classic meal.

Ingredients

2 cups water

1 cup beef broth

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 (3-pound) corned beef brisket with included spice packet

Instructions

  1. Pour the water and beef broth into the Instant Pot.
  2. Add the minced garlic and stir briefly.
  3. Place the trivet inside the Instant Pot.
  4. Set the corned beef brisket on the trivet.
  5. Sprinkle the included spice packet evenly over the brisket.
  6. Close and lock the lid, ensuring the valve is set to sealing.
  7. Cook on high pressure for 90 minutes.
  8. Allow the pressure to release using the quick-release method.
  9. Carefully remove the corned beef and transfer it to a baking sheet.
  10. Loosely cover with foil and let rest for 10–15 minutes.
  11. Slice against the grain and serve.

Notes

Slice the corned beef against the grain for maximum tenderness.

Vegetables like potatoes, carrots, and cabbage can be cooked afterward in the same liquid.

Resting the meat helps retain moisture.

Rinsing the brisket before cooking is optional.
