Description

Soft and chewy cotton candy-flavored cookies decorated with colorful sprinkles and optional marbled colors for a fun and festive treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cotton candy extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cotton candy sprinkles (or colorful nonpareils)
  • Optional: pink and blue gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and cotton candy extract. Beat until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the cotton candy sprinkles.
  7. If using, divide dough into two bowls and color one pink, the other blue. Gently swirl together for a marbled effect.
  8. Scoop tablespoons of dough, roll into balls, and place on the prepared baking sheet spaced 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until edges are set and centers look slightly underbaked.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a stronger cotton candy flavor, you can increase the amount of cotton candy extract slightly.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • Adding pink and blue food coloring is optional but enhances the festive appearance of the cookies.
