Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or swap with cheddar for a different flavor)
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (or coconut oil for non-dairy)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and unsalted butter.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the cheese is fully melted and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, blend together the almond flour and garlic powder evenly.
- Pour the melted cheese mixture into the dry ingredients and stir thoroughly until a cohesive dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Cut into small, crouton-sized pieces.
- Return the cut pieces to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes for extra crunch.
- Allow the croutons to cool completely before serving.
