Description

Lemon Basil Chicken Caesar Wraps feature tender grilled chicken, fresh basil, zesty lemon, crisp romaine lettuce, and creamy Caesar dressing wrapped in a whole wheat wrap.


Ingredients

2 cups grilled chicken breast, sliced (about 2 medium breasts)

1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped

2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped

1/4 cup Caesar dressing

2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 large whole wheat wraps


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Allow the chicken to rest, then slice it into strips.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the Caesar dressing and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  3. Lay a whole wheat wrap flat on a clean surface. Add a generous amount of chopped romaine lettuce to the center of the wrap, and top with the sliced grilled chicken.
  4. Sprinkle chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken, then drizzle with the lemon Caesar dressing mixture.
  5. Fold in the sides of the wrap, then roll tightly from the bottom up to enclose the filling. Secure with a toothpick or wrap in parchment paper if desired.
  6. Cut each wrap in half diagonally, arrange on a plate, and serve with extra Caesar dressing on the side.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use a dairy-free Caesar dressing and skip the Parmesan cheese.
