Description

Million Dollar Chicken Casserole is a rich, creamy, and comforting baked dish made with tender shredded chicken, a luxurious cheese-filled sauce, and a buttery cracker topping. It’s an easy, indulgent casserole perfect for weeknights, potlucks, or family dinners.

Ingredients

4 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup sour cream

1 cup mayonnaise

10.75 ounces condensed cream of chicken soup

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

1 cup crushed buttery crackers (about 1 sleeve)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sour cream, mayonnaise, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir until the chicken is evenly coated and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed crackers with the melted butter until fully coated.
  6. Sprinkle the buttery cracker mixture evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  8. Remove from the oven, let rest briefly, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Rotisserie chicken works especially well for convenience and flavor.

Letting the casserole rest helps it set before serving.

Can be assembled ahead and baked when needed.

For extra richness, cream cheese may be added.

Best served hot with a simple side salad or vegetables.
