Description

Mozzarella Pepperoni Croissant Rolls are a delicious fusion of flaky croissants, gooey mozzarella, and zesty pepperoni, perfect for a quick snack, appetizer, or main dish.

Ingredients

4 fresh croissants

1 cup whole milk mozzarella cheese, shredded

10 slices high-quality pepperoni

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
  2. Step 2: Unroll the croissants and lay them flat on a clean surface with the wider end facing you.
  3. Step 3: At the wider end of each croissant, layer ¼ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, add 2-3 slices of pepperoni, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  4. Step 4: Roll each croissant tightly starting from the wider end, making sure no filling escapes.
  5. Step 5: Whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the egg wash over each rolled croissant for a golden finish.
  6. Step 6: Bake the croissant rolls on the prepared baking sheet for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Step 7: Once baked, let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For different meats, substitute pepperoni with turkey, sausage, or even bacon for added variety.

For a vegetarian version, swap the pepperoni for spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers.

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.

Feel free to experiment with a mix of cheeses like provolone, cheddar, or parmesan for extra flavor.
