Description

This No-Rise Pizza Dough is the ultimate quick and easy solution for homemade pizza, perfect for busy nights or spontaneous cravings. Made with simple ingredients and no need to wait for the dough to rise, this soft, chewy pizza crust is ready in just 30 minutes. It’s a perfect base for all your favorite toppings, whether you prefer a classic Margherita or a creative twist!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 3/4 cup warm water

  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar (optional, for slight sweetness)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it as well.

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.

  • Combine Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, mix together warm water, olive oil, and honey (if using).

  • Make the Dough:
Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir with a spoon or your hands until a dough forms. The dough should be soft but not sticky. Add more flour if it’s too sticky or more water if it’s too dry.

  • Knead the Dough:
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 2-3 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  • Roll Out the Dough:
Roll the dough into your desired shape and thickness (about 12 inches in diameter for a standard pizza). Transfer it to a greased baking sheet or a preheated pizza stone.

  • Pre-Bake the Crust:
Bake the dough for 5-7 minutes in the preheated oven until lightly golden. Then add your desired pizza toppings and bake for another 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.

  • Serve:
Remove from the oven, slice, and enjoy your homemade pizza!

Notes

  • Variations:

    • Whole Wheat Version: Replace half or all of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.

    • Herbed Dough: Add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano or garlic powder to the dry ingredients for more flavor.

    • Gluten-Free Version: Substitute with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.

  • Storage:
Store leftover dough (uncooked) in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Allow it to come to room temperature before rolling it out.

  • Reheating:
Reheat leftover pizza in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes until the crust is crispy again.
