Ingredients
1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for melting chocolate)
Optional toppings (sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or cocoa powder)
Instructions
- In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies until they turn into fine crumbs. Alternatively, crush them in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy.
- Scoop portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm them up.
- While the truffles chill, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-30 second intervals, stirring after each until smooth. Add vegetable oil for a thinner coating, if desired.
- Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, using a fork to lift them out and letting excess chocolate drip off.
- Sprinkle the truffles with your chosen toppings (sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or cocoa powder) while the chocolate is still wet.
- Return the truffles to the baking sheet and refrigerate them for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate is set.
- Once set, serve the truffles or store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
For a different flavor, use mint Oreo cookies instead of regular ones for a refreshing twist.
Add mini chocolate chips or a drizzle of dark chocolate for extra indulgence.
For a vegan version, substitute dairy-free cream cheese and chocolate chips.
