Description

A delightful Oreo roll dessert made with chocolate cake, cream cheese filling, and crushed Oreo cookies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake)
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
  • ½ cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 68 cookies)
  • ¼ cup white chocolate, melted
  • 46 whole Oreo cookies (for decoration)
  • Extra crushed Oreo cookies (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, mixing eggs, oil, water, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Dust a clean kitchen towel with powdered sugar while the cake bakes.
  6. Immediately invert the cake onto the powdered sugar-dusted towel and peel off parchment paper carefully.
  7. While warm, roll the cake in the towel and let cool completely.
  8. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  9. Fold in crushed Oreos gently.
  10. Unroll cooled cake and spread Oreo cream cheese filling evenly.
  11. Roll the cake tightly again, keeping filling intact.
  12. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  13. Drizzle melted white chocolate over the roll.
  14. Decorate with whole Oreos and sprinkle extra crushed Oreos on top.
  15. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure the cake is completely cooled before spreading the filling to avoid melting the cream.
  • Refrigerating the roll helps it set and makes it easier to slice.
  • You can use homemade chocolate cake instead of a mix if preferred.
