Description
Patriotic Funfetti Blondies are a fun and colorful dessert featuring chewy, golden blondies packed with rainbow sprinkles. Perfect for holidays and celebrations, these easy-to-make bars offer a rich, buttery flavor with a pop of color and sweetness.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 ¼ cups brown sugar, packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup rainbow sprinkles (preferably red, white, and blue for a patriotic touch)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
- Mix Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Stir in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Ensure everything is well combined.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to keep the texture soft.
- Fold in Sprinkles: Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles, reserving a tablespoon for topping if desired.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle any reserved sprinkles on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
- Slice and Serve: Once cooled, slice into squares or rectangles and serve. Enjoy the colorful, chewy goodness!
Notes
Sprinkles: Use red, white, and blue sprinkles for a fun, patriotic touch or swap for chocolate chips, mini M&Ms, or other fun mix-ins.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Make-Ahead: The batter can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking. Allow it to come to room temperature before baking.
