Ingredients
- Beef steak (sirloin or flank) – 1 pound, thinly sliced
- Red bell pepper – 1, sliced into strips
- Green bell pepper – 1, sliced into strips
- Onion – 1 medium, sliced
- Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger – 1 tablespoon, grated
- Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce – 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
- Beef broth or water – ½ cup
- Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons
- Salt and black pepper – To taste
Instructions
1️⃣ Marinate the Beef – In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef, toss well, and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
2️⃣ Prepare the Vegetables – While the beef is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
3️⃣ Cook the Vegetables – Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the bell peppers and onion for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened. Remove from skillet and set aside.
4️⃣ Cook the Beef – In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon oil and cook the marinated beef in a single layer for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Cook in batches if needed.
5️⃣ Combine & Simmer – Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet. Add garlic and ginger, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the beef broth and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6️⃣ Season & Serve – Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
