Description

A delicious and simple dessert recipe consisting of baked apples wrapped in crescent rolls, topped with sweet buttery sauce and served with ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans crescent rolls
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • 1 (12 ounce) can Mountain Dew soda

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into 8 slices each.
  2. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll and place in a buttered 9×13-inch pan.
  3. Melt the butter, then add the sugar and stir gently. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over the apples.
  4. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
  6. Serve with ice cream and spoon some of the sweet sauce from the pan over the top.

Notes

  • For best results, use Granny Smith apples as they are tart and balance the sweetness.
  • Serve immediately for the best taste, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
