Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces with lemon juice, sliced onions, garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper. Cover and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until soft and translucent.
- Remove chicken from marinade and brown on all sides for 5–7 minutes.
- Pour in the remaining marinade, reduce heat, and simmer covered for 30–40 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Prepare rice according to package instructions.
- Serve Poulet Yassa over rice, garnished with herbs if desired.
