Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1¼ cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or 8×8-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze if desired.
Notes
- This cake is perfect served plain, with a dusting of powdered sugar, or with a drizzle of glaze.
