Description

Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles is a quick and comforting dinner made with tender chicken, chewy noodles, and a glossy honey-soy garlic sauce that delivers sweet, savory, and slightly spicy flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 tbsp honey

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp grated ginger

1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)

2 tbsp cornstarch

2 tbsp vegetable oil

8 oz rice noodles or egg noodles

2 green onions, chopped

1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes until well combined.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken and cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and fully cooked.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and stir well.
  6. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky and glossy.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to package instructions and drain well.
  8. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier result.

Adjust chili flakes to control the heat level.

Add vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, or snap peas for extra texture.

Use gluten-free soy sauce and rice noodles for a gluten-free version.

Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days.
