Description

Cheesecake Eggrolls are crispy fried desserts filled with a creamy cheesecake mixture and swirled with strawberry jam. Perfect for a delightful treat or dessert option.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • Fresh strawberries, diced (optional)
  • 1012 eggroll wrappers
  • Water or egg wash (1 egg whisked with water) for sealing
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
  • Extra strawberry jam or chocolate sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in strawberry jam and diced strawberries (if using) for a swirled effect.
  3. Place an eggroll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
  4. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of filling onto the center of the wrapper.
  5. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly to form a log, sealing the top corner with water or egg wash.
  6. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  7. Heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or saucepan to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Fry eggrolls in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm with extra strawberry jam or chocolate sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Adding fresh diced strawberries to the filling will create an extra burst of flavor.
  • Use caution while frying to maintain the oil temperature for even cooking.
  • You can substitute strawberry jam with other flavors like raspberry or blueberry for variation.
