Ingredients

6 oz premade graham cracker pie crust

3 oz strawberry flavored instant gelatin

0.25 oz unflavored gelatin (1 pouch)

½ cup boiling water

½ cup cold water

¼ cup crushed ice

8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

1¾ cup fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, chopped

4 halved strawberries (optional garnish)

Canned whipped topping (optional garnish)


Instructions

  • Make the Gelatin Base:gelatin in boiling water. In a separate bowl, bloom unflavored gelatin in cold water, then stir into the strawberry mixture. In a heat-safe bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. In a separate bowl, bloom unflavored gelatin in cold water, then stir into the strawberry mixture.

  • Add crushed ice to the mixture and stir until melted.

  • Assemble: Sprinkle ¾ cup chopped strawberries into the pie crust. Fold remaining strawberries and Cool Whip into the gelatin mixture.

  • Pour filling into the crust and spread evenly.

  • Chill: Refrigerate at least 4 hours or until fully set.

  • Serve: Slice into 8 portions and top each with canned whipped topping and a halved strawberry, if desired.
