Delicious and soft strawberry flavored sugar cookies made with freeze-dried strawberry powder, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons freeze-dried strawberry powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the freeze-dried strawberry powder until the dough is evenly colored.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Flatten the balls slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
You can substitute freeze-dried strawberry powder with other fruit powders for different flavors.
