Description

Sweet and sticky barbecue chicken legs baked to perfection for a delicious and easy meal.


Ingredients

  • 10 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, honey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush the chicken generously with half of the sauce mixture.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, then flip the drumsticks and brush with more sauce.
  6. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Brush with remaining sauce before serving, if desired.

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked to the proper internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • For a spicier version, add some chili powder or hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
