Description

The Taco Crescent Ring is a fun and delicious twist on taco night. Seasoned beef, beans, and cheese are wrapped in flaky crescent rolls and baked into a golden ring, then topped with fresh taco fixings for a crowd-pleasing dish perfect for family dinners or parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jalapeno, stem and seeds removed
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1.25 ounce taco seasoning mix
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 16 ounce refried beans
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
  • Shredded lettuce (for topping)
  • Tomatoes (for topping)
  • Sliced olives (for topping)
  • Sour cream (for topping)
  • Cilantro (for topping)
  • Green onions (for topping)
  • Salsa (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef, jalapeno, and onions until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess grease.
  3. Return beef mixture to skillet and stir in taco seasoning and beef broth. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Unroll crescent rolls and separate into triangles.
  5. On a baking sheet, arrange triangles in a circle with wide ends overlapping in the center and tips pointing outward, leaving about a 5-inch opening in the middle.
  6. Spread refried beans over the wide ends of crescents.
  7. Spoon taco meat mixture over beans and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  8. Fold crescent tips over filling and tuck underneath to form a ring.
  9. Bake 20–25 minutes, or until crescent dough is golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly before slicing and top with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, sour cream, cilantro, green onions, and salsa.

Notes

  • Swap beef with ground turkey, shredded chicken, or sautéed vegetables for variety.
  • Add black beans or corn for extra texture and flavor.
  • Use pepper jack or Monterey Jack cheese for a spicier version.
  • Make vegetarian by replacing meat with beans or lentils.
  • Best served fresh—reheat in the oven to keep the crescent rolls crispy.
