Description

Texas Toast Pizzas are a quick and delicious meal featuring crispy garlic toast topped with savory Italian sausage, melted mozzarella, pepperoni, and pizza sauce. Ingredients

½ pound Italian sausage

1 box frozen garlic Texas Toast (8 slices)

14 oz pizza sauce (slightly warmed, divided)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

24 pepperoni slices

1 tablespoon dried parsley (optional)

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage:
    Cook and crumble the Italian sausage in a pan over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Prepare the Toast:
    Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the Texas Toast box. Arrange the frozen toast on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cook according to the package instructions, flipping halfway through (about 7-9 minutes).

  3. Assemble the Pizzas:
    Remove the Texas Toast from the oven and spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce on each slice. Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the sauce, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese. Place the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.

  4. Bake:
    Return the toast to the oven and bake for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.

  5. Finish and Serve:
    Remove from the oven and sprinkle with dried parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve with the remaining pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
