This Hot Crab Dip is a rich, creamy appetizer that’s perfect for any gathering. Made with lump crab meat, cream cheese, sour cream, and a blend of spices, this cheesy dip is baked to golden perfection. With its savory flavor and comforting texture, it’s a crowd-pleasing favorite for parties, potlucks, or cozy get-togethers!

Ingredients

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

½ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon vinegar (apple cider or white vinegar)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 (6 oz) can lump crab meat, drained and flaked

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: hot sauce for extra heat

Instructions

  • Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Prepare the dip base: In a medium-sized bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir until smooth and well-blended.

  • Add crab and cheese: Gently fold in the lump crab meat, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer extra heat, add a dash of hot sauce.

  • Transfer to baking dish: Transfer the mixture into a small baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.

  • Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and golden on top.

  • Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let the dip cool slightly before serving. Serve with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

Spicy Variation: Increase cayenne pepper or add your favorite hot sauce to spice things up.

Cheese Variations: Swap mozzarella for cheddar, pepper jack, or any cheese you prefer.

Vegetarian Version: Replace crab meat with artichoke hearts or spinach for a vegetarian-friendly option.

Storage: Leftover dip can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
