Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika, then sear until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Top each chicken breast with about 1/3 cup shredded jack cheese, then transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
