Ingredients
2 chicken breasts (or thighs)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
12 oz rigatoni pasta (or your preferred pasta)
1 yellow onion, diced
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions, making sure to salt the water for extra flavor. Drain and set aside.

Cook the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until fully cooked. Slice the chicken thinly and set aside.

Sauté the Veggies: In the same pan, sauté the diced onion over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to burst, about 5 minutes.
