Description

This elegant no-cook appetizer combines crisp Granny Smith apple slices with creamy goat cheese, sweet honey, and crunchy pecans. It’s a quick and impressive bite perfect for entertaining or a simple snack.

Ingredients

1 Granny Smith apple

2 tbsp plain goat cheese

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Cut the top and bottom off the apple.
  2. Slice the middle portion into 2 to 3 even slices about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Remove the core from each apple slice using a sharp knife or biscuit cutter.
  4. Arrange the apple slices on a serving tray.
  5. Fill the center of each slice with a little less than 1 tablespoon of goat cheese.
  6. Drizzle honey generously over the apple slices.
  7. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Fuji apples for a sweeter flavor.

Substitute walnuts, almonds, or pistachios for the pecans.

Sprinkle with cinnamon for added warmth.

Add dried cranberries for extra sweetness and texture.

For a vegan version, use plant-based goat cheese and maple syrup.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
